Arriving by plane

The nearest airports from Uerdingen are Düsseldorf (about 30 minutes by public transport) and Cologne/Bonn (about 90 minutes).

Düsseldorf Airport:
Take the shuttle bus to the new railway station at the airport (Flughafen-Bahnhof). Do not go to the underground S-Bahn station. From the airport railway station take the S-Bahn train S1 or a Regional Express to Duisburg Hauptbahnhof (Duisburg Central Station). Change to RB 33 or RE 3 regional service towards Krefeld/Mönchengladbach. Get off at Hohenbudberg-Bayerwerk.

Cologne/Bonn Airport:
S-Bahn S13 to Köln Hauptbahnhof (Cologne Central Station)
The service runs every 20 minutes on weekdays, and every half hour at weekends.

Then:
Take Intercity, Interregio or Regional Express to Duisburg Hauptbahnhof (Duisburg Central Station), and change to RB 33 or RE 3 regional service towards Krefeld/Mönchengladbach. Get off at Hohenbudberg-Bayerwerk.
